From Sandra's Desk
May 2025
May is a month for celebrations and remembrances. And of course, nature leads the way! The vineyard is "out!" All the vines are green and growing, the baby birds are chirping, and baby geese are swimming in the pond, while humans celebrate graduations, weddings, and in our family's case even a few birthdays! (Mine! LOL.) We also take pause to remember those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms with Memorial Day. My family lost my mother's oldest brother in WW II and I recently received a package from my cousin with my uncles last possessions. I know that I am not the only one who carries this responsibility and so I join others who remember our family lost through war.
Our wine is now being served in two restaurants in the East Bay, both in Danville; "Harvest" and "Locando Ravello". Of course, we are always well-represented in Carmel by our long- time friends, Little Napoli, Vesuvio, Enzos, and many wonderful restaurants. We are so fortunate to be able to call all of these establishments not just customers BUT ALSO our dear friends. Please ask for our wine when you visit them. And tell them Sandra and Alan sent you!

From The Winemaker
Hi all, after what seems like the coldest spring in a while, it's a beautiful, warm sunny day, finally!!! It is May 5th as a write this and a couple days ago was about the coldest windiest day I've seen in a very long time. That being what it is, the vineyard is starting to chug along. I've been coming to downtown Carmel more often this year and it has been bustling. The tasting room has some amazing wines being poured so if you have time come by, it will be a great time! The winery is always a bit quiet this time of year but what is currently being aged, is tasting amazing. In the winery, we have all the BIG reds of '23 still to be aged then bottled in September, right before harvest. The '24 vintage we will bottle the Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnays, and Pinots will be bottled at the same time. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon and can't wait to share some of the newest creations. Cheers and thanks, as always, for the continued support.

It's time to welcome May in the tasting room. This weekend we all celebrate our mother's that brought us all into this world. With that being said, bring Mom in to enjoy some award-winning wines at our tasting room. We can all agree, she probably deserves it.
In the tasting room we have a bit of a change. Our wonderful Andi has parted from us to pursue more of her wine adventures. While not in the tasting room, you will still see her around town. But as we say 'Arrivederci' to her we say 'Benvenuto' to our newest tasting room employee, Megan. Stop by and say Hi. She would love to meet you all and the rest of us would be happy to see you too.
