Welcome!

We appreciate your patronage and hope to keep you up to date on the latest news from the vineyard and the tasting room, (with an occasional bite from Alan's musical efforts).

From Sandra's Desk:

It's December (!!) and we all know what that means…..the HOLIDAYS!!!!

As the days shorten and the nights lengthen we are driven inside to enjoy the warmth of family and friends in holiday settings. For the Silvestri Family this is a time of fireplace chats and musical sharing, grandchildren visiting and grown children returning to their traditional place in our family life. We also share a wonderful evening with the staff of Silvestri Vineyards. I have included a few photos from last years celebration for your viewing.

The vineyard is at its most quiet time, making room for the vineyard tenders and guardians to leave them to the quiet and allow them to rest and grow internally in preparation for the next season. The vineyard is alive with wildlife that seeks this quiet as a respite from the north. We have regular visits by deer, heron, coyotes, bobcats and a multitude of fowl and mammals. Also please look out for the January issue of 65 degree Magazine for a profile of me, Sandra Silvestri, and my work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The article features what I consider to be among some of the most beautiful photographs of the vineyard ever captured.

Alan and I and all of the family and staff of Silvestri Vineyards wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season. We look forward to a fantastic 2016 vintage in both the vineyard and in our lives as we welcome our third grandchild and YES! We will be changing the name of our stainless Chardonnay to reflect this growth from Due Bambine to Tres Bambine!! Onward to a Happy Holiday Season!

From the Winemaker:

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. With the end of the year coming quickly I personally would like to say THANK YOU for all the support you have given us, it's truly has been an amazing year. As you all know, the vineyard is very quiet this time of year, but it's amazing how fast spring comes. We are currently prepping the vineyard for the upcoming season. We tilled the vineyard then seeded the rows with a great mix of grasses, legumes and clover. With much anticipation of an above average rainfall year we are cognizant of all the potential issues. We have to be careful about the ground being so saturated that the tractors can't get into the vineyard without getting stuck, or being extremely dangerous and potentially sliding or rolling over. Never a dull moment!!! The wines from 2015 are all close to being finished and chilled down, some are still converting the malic to lactic which requires a temperature above 60* F. We currently have two barrel rooms, one set at 58* F and one set at 68* F. Please enjoy this festive time. Cheers and once again I Thank You for loving our wines.

The holidays are an exciting time for us here in the tasting room. It's always an honor for us to hear from our guests that our wine will be shared with many of their friends and family during this special season.

We want to remind you that you can easily ship bottles of Silvestri from either our tasting room or directly through our website. We have made it extremely convenient for our Wine Club members and retail customers to send wine all throughout the US (some state restrictions apply). We have also made it possible to include a gift message to your recipient. Or if you are traveling, why not ship some wine ahead to your destination. Shipping orders usually leave our office the following day after an order is received. Most packages reach the east coast within a week, so order soon!

From all of us here at the Tasting Room, we want to wish you a safe and joyful holiday.
