In 1989, award-winning film composer Alan Silvestri and his family moved from Los Angeles to Carmel, and they subsequently decided to take on a new venture, planting vines in the grape-friendly soil of Upper Carmel Valley. Over the years, the Silvestris and their wine- maker have turned out consistent vintages, which they showcase in their tasting room in downtown Carmel, as well as at the many charitable events to which they are very generous. They make several different Pinots, each distinctive, and all praised for their balance, elegance and craft.
