We appreciate your patronage and hope to keep you up to date on the latest news from the vineyard and the tasting room, (with an occasional bite from Alan's musical efforts).

From Sandra's Desk:

December 2016

Rain for the holidays! Hooray! Only a California winemaker understands the joy of that sentence. It has been a big year of ups and downs in the Silvestri Vineyards family ..... births and deaths, fire and rain, fresh starts and recommitments. I have always felt that owning a vineyard means being a part of it's seasonal cycles. It is a great privilege as it connects us to the earth in a very real way making those ups and downs a wonderful ride through life. We celebrate the new growth as we celebrate the birth of our new granddaughter and we grieve the destruction of the fire as we grieve the death of our beloved Pop. But we understand through this roller coaster ride that life IS the ups and downs, it IS the joys and sorrows and each up and each down is an opportunity to "be here" in the most direct way we can be.

To a vineyard owner, farmer and winemaker, the rain is the hope that next year will bring a grand yield of precious fruit that we will steward into a wine that carries its history in its bouquet. Amen to that!

We wish you and your family a warm and glorious holiday season. We appreciate your business and your interest in our wine. Thanks for "taking the ride" with us. We could not do it without you.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the vineyard and winery. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you receiving this newsletter, we THANK YOU and really appreciate your continued support. Funny thing about the wine business is that no matter how many awards one might receive the biggest compliment and reward is selling out of ones wines. This is where y'all come in. This year has been absolutely outstanding for us, all because of you. So once again THANK YOU, and the good news/bad news is that we are selling out of our wines faster than they can be produced! Wow, very humbling, exciting and a bit scary as well. When we were hired in the fall of 2012 there were some goals we laid out for the vineyard and winery. Some of those goals were: to get a slightly lower yield with grapes of world class quality, make consistently incredible and delicious wines, grow the wine club then cap it and eventually have everything sold before it's made. We have, I believe, achieved these goals in 4 short (yet amazingly long) years, and I believe it is in part because of all of you and your incredible support of this little winery. So cheers to the holidays, the upcoming new year, and many years of great wine to come.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for helping make our tasting room an exciting and welcoming place to be. As we reflect on the past year we are left with a feeling of excitement knowing that with all the great success we saw last year, there is much more to come in 2017. We hope you all enjoy your last wine club release of the year, and we wish that you all have a safe and joyful holiday.
