From The Winemaker:
Sppppprrrrriiiinnnnngggg. Yes it has arrived, ready or not. We got through our spring bottling, thankfully, without a hitch. Now we eagerly await for those delicious wines to settle down from their bottling. Real soon the Rose', Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc will be available. The big Ol' reds might need a little bit more time, patience is the key with these. We have found out that the more time they have to acclimate and age the better they are, problem has always been that those big Ol reds sell out so fast that we need them available ASAP, the double edged sword of selling wines out so quickly.
I'm sure y'all are aware of the great amount of water we are so blessed to have received here on the central coast of California. We are extremely thankful! With that water comes a bevy of work, once again, that we are happy to be doing. The weeds, grasses, and rodentia are growing and breeding like wild fire so the vineyard is full of life, work and the smell of a good old John Deere tractor. This winter and early spring has been cold/cool so the vines are just budding out, much more of a "normal" bud break as opposed to the Valentine's Day surprise of '14 and March 1 of '15. Just like in years passed I mentioned baseball and the growing season coinciding, so cheers to my two favorite pastimes and congratulations to team USA on winning their first World Baseball Classic.
