Greetings from Broadway!
While the sun shines on beautiful Carmel Valley, Alan and I are enjoying the premiere week of Back to the Future the Musical on Broadway. The musical has been in the works for 14 years and after a successful run in the West End of London, it's enjoying wonderful crowds on Broadway in New York. But don't worry, everything is proceeding beautifully in the vineyard, and we will be returning very soon in time for the excitement of bottling and harvest. If your travels take you to New York City be sure to check out Back to the Future the Musical. It's a fun merging of cinematic and theatrical. See you back in the sun soon!

From The Winemaker
Hi all, Happy July, and specifically the 4th of July, my second favorite holiday. We are currently on a little vacation, SoCal trip to watch the Angels, Dodgers, Padres play home games. Checking off baseball parks we haven't been to yet. We will also hit Arizona for a Diamondbacks game, assuming our car doesn't spontaneously combust from the desert heat. Anyway, this trip sort of set off some thoughts for me relating to wine. As we are checking off baseball stadiums, wine aficionados could easily have specific markers to check off. Wine regions, wineries, wines (varietals) easily come to mind. There are so many of any one of those, what an amazing adventure to embark on. Obviously the easiest would be varietals. One could scoot on over to BevMo and pick-up a crazy assortment of random wines from all over, I would not do that, because it is much more interesting to hit up the wineries directly. We at Silvestri offer a crazy array of wines. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Barbera, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Grenache, Muscat, and of course a Bordeaux Blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. That's 13 different varieties made by one winery in tiny Carmel Valley. Impressive if I do say so myself! So go out, explore what's out there, and most importantly, live fantastically!

Coming in for a tasting does not require a reservation as we can accommodate anyone interested in our wines. The tasting room is open from 12-6pm daily. So come by as we are eager to share our wines with you.
During this summer, the tasting room will be stocked with wines that deserve to be enjoyed by the pool, with friends around a campfire, or while enjoying some relaxing alone time. Don't miss out on your favorites for the summer.
If you are not able to make it into the tasting room, shipping is the next best option. During these hot summer months, all orders will ship UPS Next Day Air for the price of UPS Ground. This ensures a quick and cool delivery straight to your door.
