??Great Scott! We're home!!!
After the most amazing few months in New York City, Alan and I are finally home. Back to the Future the Musical at the Winter Garden Theater in New York City is launched and the baby is flying! We hope that if you are in either New York or London, that you see the show! The cast is wonderful, and the effects are standout. And of course, the music is great! Lol
It is based on the story in the original Back to the Future the movie. So buckle up and see for yourself…
"Where we're going we don't need roads!"
We apologize for not being able to bring you vineyard news but we know that our wonderful winemaker, vineyard management and tasting room staff have you in good hands.
Tomorrow, we return to the vineyard and we can't wait!!!! It's a great time to get home because bottling and harvest are just around the corner!

From The Winemaker
Welp, just like that we are in August, so weird. It seems we went from the never-ending winter like weather, to Summer. Contrary to rest of the U.S. we have been really cool here in Monterey County. For reference, at my house, the heater will run from December to February, this year and going back to last fall, it ran from October into June, crazy town. Needless to say, we started out way behind schedule but with some seriously beautiful/perfect weather the last couple weeks it seems the grapes are catching up. Hooray! Let's hope we get our usual beautiful fall weather and all should be wonderful. With all the winter rains we had there is a pretty great canopy and crop load, as you might be thinking that's fantastic, the old saying, "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind. Many vineyards throughout the county are dealing with a serious powdery mildew issue with those beautiful canopies, because dense canopy's and cool, wet, foggy mornings and days, are not ideal unless you are in the roofing business. Anyway, we have been diligent about our spray schedule and canopy management so as of now we have evaded the issues that many are having. So, tip your glass to the vineyard guys tonight!
The craziness is about to rev up! We are bottling the '21 big reds and the '22 Chards and Pinots at the end of the month, and if all goes well, harvest should start about a month later. I can't believe it! Seems like we just harvested! Thanks as always for the continued support, we greatly appreciate all of you.
