We appreciate your patronage and hope to keep you up to date on the latest news from the vineyard and the tasting room (with an occasional bite from Alan's musical efforts).

Greetings from London!

This is where the complexity of all of our lives at Silvestri Vineyards really shows and the hard work of juggling comes into play. These last few days Alan and Dave took off their SV hats and put on their music maker hats. But don't worry. Silvestri Vineyards is still going strong, hurtling towards harvest with an amazing crop of fantastic wine. The grapes are carefully and lovingly, tended by Marshall and Frank in the vineyard and winery. While Daniella, Xuanlan, Francisco, and Mark (Welcome!) are in sales and in the tasting room. The excitement in both arenas is palpable!

We are "Here" in London recording the musical score for the film of the same name. It's wonderful to be back with the musicians again after more than 4 years of recording via video during the pandemic. Music and musical performers are truly the voice of Heaven, and it is amazing to be among them again.

But we look forward to returning home to family and harvest. Next month's newsletter will bring us to our favorite time of year…. Family Time…. As we gather in grapes and family for wine and a wedding!

From The Winemaker

Hi all,
We are currently STILL waiting on sugars. This summer, as I have mentioned before, was really cool, putting us weeks behind normal harvest schedule! Luckily, we have finally received a much needed heat wave (only took until October but we will take it). So, as it stands, we are hoping to start pulling some fruit possibly this week and continue on through the end of November, which isn't unprecedented. 2021 was also very cool and we actually harvested the Barbera in DECEMBER!!!! So as much as I love rain and the possibility of an El Nino (Which if you look up the predictions for central Ca, there are equal chances of above average, average, and below average rainfall lol, gotta get that weather man job in my next life hahaha, can never be wrong, ridiculous...) anyway, let's hope that the possibility for rain holds off for a bit and the Indian Summer continues to do its magic.

From The Tasting Room:

It is officially Fall and we are feeling the change here in Carmel. The Silvestri tasting room will continue to be open from 12-6pm daily. Our tasting flight is fresh with new vintages so definitely come by to give it a try. The current new releases are the 2020 Ala, Pinot Gris, the 2020 Il Campione, Pinot Blanc, the 2019 Tre Bambine, Chardonnay and the 2019 Eugenia, red blend. We look forward to sharing these new favorites with you.

The end of September brought us to the release of our wine club installments. The first weekend of pick-up was a hit! Thank you to all the club members that got a chance to stop in! As for the wine, the new vintages are mixed in with this release. If you haven't yet picked up your wine, we have it here waiting for you in our quaint tasting room. We welcome wine club members to enjoy a tasting along with pick-up and encourage adding your favorite bottles to the bundle if they have not already been included.
